Biography:

Dr. YAN Tao is an associate professor with the School of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, Jiangnan University, China. He received dual Ph.D. degrees in computer science from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Dec. 2013 and City University (CityU) of Hong Kong in Feb. 2014. He once worked as a senior research engineer at Baidu Inc. He is a member of IEEE, CCF and CAAI.

His research interests inclue 3D vision, light field processing, image restoration and enhancement, object detection and tracking, ultra-fine grained image recognition and deep learning. He also focuses on computer vision applications, such as video surveillance and industrial (defect) detection. He has served as a reviewer for IJCV, IEEE TIP, TCSVT, TMM, TVCG, TCE, SPL, KBS, etc.
