Biography:

Dr. Tao Yan is an associate professor with the School of Artifical Intelligence and Computer Science, Jiangnan University, China. He received his dual Ph.D. degrees in computer science from City University of Hong Kong in Feb. 2014 and University of Science and Technology of China in Dec. 2013. He once worked as a senior research engineer at Baidu, Inc. He has served as a reviewer for IJCV, IEEE TIP, TCSVT, TMM, TCE, SPL, Knowledge-Based Systems etc. He is a member of CCF, CAAI and IEEE.

His research interests inclue stereo 3D vision, image editing, light field processing, image restoration and enhancement, object detection and tracking, ultra-fine grained image recognition and deep learning. He also focuses on industrial defect detection, video surveillance, etc.
